Malama Cultural Park will provide an environment for the learning and sharing of Hawaiian history, traditions, and practices.

Project Leader:
Ke Aupuni Lokahi, Inc

Current Activities:
planning of halau wa`a

Location:
Kaunakakai, Moloka`i

Reason for Need

On Moloka`i there is no cultural center for residents to practice, learn, and share Hawaiian history, culture, and traditions. The completion of facilities for Malama Cultural Park will provide place for residents to cultivate their Hawaiian heritage and share it with visitors.

EC Support

EC funds are being solicited to support the planning, design and construction of a halau wa`a (canoe long house) in Malama Cultural Park to be used by several canoe clubs on Molokai.
